A quick pic of yesterday's and today's harvests, at about 38°, 37", with a helping hand:

Current and upcoming seasons in Central California:

Foraging: Greens are out in force in the Valley and Delta. If you go out this weekend, you can find a good number of nettles, mallow, mustard and wild radish -- the latter two, as broccoli raab... spicy broccoli raab.

Fishing: The high waters are making fishing a little tough, I hear -- but, if you know of some good places where the current swirls around, you can pick up some catfish.

Hunting: The seasons are over, except for pigs, pigeons and jackrabbits -- all good table fare (seriously).
